Sophia Learning Pathways formerly Guaranteach is a comprehensive library of K-12 mathematics videos and assessment items, driven by powerful tools for differentiated learning in the classroom and at home. Sophia Learning Pathways is a pioneer in the individualized instruction of mathematics, offering a wide range of teaching styles and learning tools to ensure that each student can learn in their own unique way, and at their own pace. Sophia Learning Pathways is 100% online, ensuring ease of integration in a range of different environments, from the lab to the classroom to the home.

Sophia Learning Pathways mathematics video library contains over 23,000 videos and over 3,000 assessments, covering math topics from Kindergarten through 12

th grade, including AP coursework. Our curriculum is highly granular in order to ensure precise targeting of learning gaps and modular building of student skills. The Sophia Learning Pathways curriculum is fully aligned to West Virginia state standards as well as the Common Core curriculum. This mapping is transparent to teachers, which enables them to identify precisely which Sophia Learning Pathways lessons they should assign to their students in order to meet a state or national objective.

All of the lessons in the Sophia Learning Pathways curriculum contain 5-15 videos authored by different teachers, each one addressing the topic in their own way. Our videos average 3 minutes in length, communicating key concepts in a way that students can quickly absorb. Sophia Learning Pathways ranks the videos for each lesson according to their match to the student’s learning style, based on a proprietary diagnostic assessment. The available video library for a lesson can also be enhanced by contributions from the teachers themselves, providing a powerful reinforcement of classroom lessons.

Sophia Learning Pathways quizzes are similarly rich and diverse; incorporating a variety of professionally developed question types and formats. Every lesson is associated with a bank of questions that are specifically aligned to that lesson, from which a student receives a randomized selection each time they take a quiz. Sophia Learning Pathways also offers quizzes that can be customized by the teacher or student based on the desired number of questions and level of coverage. Practice tests that mirror state and national assessments are also available on the site, with in-test video intervention if a student is struggling with a question. Each test, quiz and custom quiz is automatically graded and is immediately available for review for the student and the teacher alike. Sophia Learning Pathways provides thorough reporting of all student activity, with access to detailed reports for students, parents, teachers and administrators.

In addition to learning preference tracking and video ranking, Sophia Learning Pathways provides a pathway for students to self differentiate based on level of difficulty. If an assigned lesson is too challenging, students can select a topic that is recommended as a building block for that lesson. Alternatively, if an assigned lesson is too simple, students can select a topic that is a suggested extension of that lesson. Furthermore, teachers can individualize student learning through customized lesson assignments that can be made at the class and individual level. This potent tool for differentiation enables the teacher to assign each student the exact lessons that they need, when they need them, while keeping the student on track with the rest of the class.
